A superb book from the writer of the Charlie and Lola books, about a rat who desperately wants to become a pet for someone, anyone, despite the odds being stacked against him. Until one day, he meets a man called Mr Fortesque, who is visually challenged and believes the rat is a kittycat. The rat has to wear a silly little jumper to go along with his owners belief he is a cat and they are both blissfully happy with their arrangement. Of course Mr Fortesque is blissfully unaware the kittycat is in fact a rat and children will love that element of the story.
